![]() For messaging apps, it is wiser to keep all notifications enabled so that you do not miss out on anything. For each app, you can also choose to receive announcements for just “Time Sensitive and Direct Messages” or for all notifications. You can choose to enable this for specific apps only so that something like an annoying game notification does not bother you. Once activated, Siri will read any incoming messages into your AirPods. Note that you do not have to enable “Announce Notifications” for all apps. You can also activate it manually under Settings > Siri & Search > Announce Messages. Also, make sure that the toggle for “Headphones” is enabled. Once there, scroll down and select Notifications. Make sure that the “Announce Notifications’ toggle is enabled. To make Siri announce your notifications quieter, you can go to the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. With Announce Calls, Siri identifies incoming FaceTime calls, which you can accept or decline using your voice.
